Understanding Cellular Health

Our bodies are composed of trillions of cells, each with a specific function operating in an interconnected system. Our overall health is dependent on each of the components of the system functioning exactly as designed. Each cell has to be able to efficiently accept nutrients, produce energy, eliminate waste, and control inflammation. Each cell is separated from other cells by a cell membrane that has to control everything coming into the cell and leaving the cell. Having the ability to repair the cell membrane is critical for maintaining optimal function. Within the cell, mitochondria have the responsibility of producing energy from nutrients.  Failure to efficiently perform this task results in reduced cellular function and leaves the system with symptoms such as fatigue, brain fog, and even heart dysfunction. Creating optimal health starts with a focus on maximizing cellular function across all organs. Our cells are designed to fix themselves if we supply everything needed to accomplish the repair. We now have labs and metabolic tests that help us identify nutrients that may be needed to assist with repair and good function.
