Understanding Longevity

Each year, the average lifespan in the United States grows older. There was a brief decline associated with Covid 19, but that has recovered. With advancements in longevity research, fueled by artificial intelligence, the rate of increase in years of life expectancy is expected to increase at an exponential rate. We will have new tools available to reverse the damage we have inflicted upon ourselves. Just think about the impact of GLP-1 drugs over the past several years. While everyone thinks about the weight loss associated with these peptides, in reality they are having a profound effect on metabolic health, lowering heart disease, cancers, and blood sugar-related illnesses. They represent only one avenue of treatments on the horizon that will help us live a life with greater mobility, energy levels, and overall vitality. Projections of life expectancy are suggesting that those of us entering our senior years may expect to live past 110, and most importantly, do so with great vitality. In order to take full advantage of it, we must prepare to have good bone density, muscle strength, and metabolic health. We now have the information and resources to optimize a healthspan far into the future.
